🏴☠️ The Scavenger Hunt has Mutinied! 🏴☠️
Scuttle the Paper, Seize the Digital!
Cast those dusty paper game sheets into the depths! We’re trading that old parchment for a high-tech raid through the Crescent City’s darkest secrets. At 2027 ARA Show in New Orleans, your mission is to plunder the legends, spirits, and history of the French Quarter—all from your glass-and-iron smartphone.
The Bounty is Greater!
For the first time in history, we’re crowning three legendary captains! Winners will be heralded 5–10 days after the show. If there’s 24 treasures in the chest:
🥇 1st Place: Claims first pick of up to 12 treasures!
🥈 2nd Place: Seizes 8 items from the remaining stash.
🥉 3rd Place: Makes off with the final 4 prizes.
Rules of Engagement
You have three full suns to complete your quest. Start where you please—your phone is the only map you’ll need!
Spot the Mark: Seek the "Scavenger Hunt" sign at participating booths.
Scan & Solve: Use your device to scan the QR Code. Inside, you’ll find a riddle of local lore—answer if you dare! Whisper the coded question to the booth sentry to receive the "Secret Code" and unlock your entry.
Log Your Loot: Submit the form to instantly carve your name onto our ledger.
Earn "Lagniappe" Points
In New Orleans, Lagniappe (lan-yap) means "a little something extra." We’re tossing in some spice with Lagniappe Leaders: Keep a weather eye out for select booths worth 5 points instead of a measly 1. These are the Heavy Lifters of the floor—growing your hoard without extra toil.
🏴☠️ The 3 Bonus Rounds: My Baratarian Rogues
Bolster your score with challenges from my own crew! Three of my finest rogues are roaming the floor with QR codes pinned to their backs. Hunt them down to claim your bounty:
Aye, the Boatswain! That grizzled dog is the master of the deck and keeper of the ropes. To wrest those bonus points from his grasp, you’ll need to track him down as he patrols the show floor.
The Carpenter: He’s a busy soul, likely inspecting the "hull" of the convention center for any signs of rot. Look for the rogue with the QR mark near the heavier equipment or sturdier structures.
The Master Gunner: He’s a shadow in the smoke, likely lurking where the "heavy artillery" of the show floor is stationed. He is the most elusive of the three, and his wit is as sharp as a cutlass. Approach with caution, for he enjoys a good game of cat and mouse.
⚠️ CAUTION: One of these scoundrels carries the Special Loot. Find the right rogue to blast your score into the heavens with extra bonus points!
Hint: Keep your eyes peeled; these pirates are restless spirits and won't stay in one port for long!
Behind the Hunt There’s More Below Deck Than Meets the Eye.
